On 1 October 2015, we were delighted to welcome Efua Asiedu as Manager, West Africa (based in Accra, Ghana). The newly established West Africa office forms part of our larger Sub-Saharan Africa team, reporting to Regional Director Juan Visser, based in Pretoria, South Africa. Efua joins Senior Schools Development Manager Mark Barber, who will continue to focus on developing our schools in southern Africa.
Efua will be working to build relationships with schools, key educational institutions and government authorities in West Africa, as well as strengthening ties with our long-term partners in the region.
Efua holds a BA (Bachelor of Arts) degree in Sociology with Philosophy from the University of Ghana. She has worked with the British Council for seven years and has extensive experience in exams administration, delivering quality standards, and relationship building. She has managed Cambridge International Examinations, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and other UK academic and professional qualifications for a number of years. Efua looks forward to working with the wider Cambridge team to deliver service excellence.
