We are delighted to welcome Joseph Mbugua as Manager, East Africa (based in Nairobi, Kenya). Joseph joins us on 1 December 2015. The newly established East Africa office forms part of our larger Sub-Saharan Africa team, reporting to Regional Director Juan Visser, based in Pretoria, South Africa. Joseph joins Efua Asiedu (our recently appointed Manager, West Africa), as well as Mark Barber (Senior Manager, Southern Africa), who continues to focus on developing our schools in Southern Africa.
Joseph will be working to build relationships with schools, key educational institutions and government authorities in East Africa, as well as strengthening ties with our long-term partners in the region.
Joseph has a background in publishing and international education and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Sciences from Moi University in Kenya, and an MBA from the University of Sunderland in the UK. Joseph has worked in the publishing industry in Kenya for over ten years, working with Macmillan, Pearson and Oxford University Press in East Africa. His active involvement in international education has seen him establish solid networks and strategic links with heads of schools, teachers, and various education regulatory bodies.
You can contact Joseph at email@example.com. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Sub-Saharan Africa team.
For all other enquiries, you can contact our Customer Services team either by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on +44 1223 553 554.
