Cambridge schools in India have been finding out about our new professional development qualifications at a series of launch events across the country.
Educators from over 150 schools attended the events in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai in late January 2014 to learn about planned changes to our qualifications for teachers.
Schools that already run Cambridge Professional Development programmes in India shared their experiences via a panel discussion led by our Assistant Director, Professional Development, Paul Beedle. They advised schools on how to integrate Cambridge qualifications into teacher development programmes, and spoke about the benefits for teachers and learners.
Our redeveloped Cambridge Professional Development qualifications are currently being piloted in schools and will be available for first teaching in September 2014, with monthly exam sessions starting in January 2015. You can view the draft syllabuses on our website. Certificate and Diploma options are available for each qualification, offering teachers a coherent professional development pathway.
We are also redeveloping our training course for Programme Leaders, offering improved support and resources for the member of staff who manages a Cambridge Professional Development programme within a school.
