Over 40 school leaders attended our first event for principals in Spain. The forum, which took place at the British Embassy in Madrid in December, explored different aspects of Cambridge International AS & A Levels.
The evening was opened by the British Ambassador to Spain, Simon J Manley, CMG, and included two presentations on the qualifications from Cambridge staff.
Ali Melville-Kline, Group Manager, Qualifications Development, gave a presentation on the development of syllabuses. She explained the consultation process we go through before we change our syllabuses. She also showed how the key concepts that we have introduced in our Cambridge International A Levels can help learners develop a deep understanding of their subject.
Rhona Armour, Recognitions Manager, talked about the recognition of Cambridge International AS & A Levels by leading universities around the world. Her presentation demonstrated that Cambridge students are in a good position to apply for places at the best universities in leading destinations such as Europe, the US, Canada and Australia.
Nick Mazur, Senior Schools Manager, Western Europe, said: “I’m delighted that so many school principals attended the first event of this kind in Spain, and would like to thank them for their interest and enthusiasm. They have paved the way for more events like this in the future.”
