Cambridge Assessment International Education has announced that it will be bringing forward the November exam series results release dates for Cambridge International AS and A Level.
Cambridge Assessment Chief Executive Simon Lebus made the announcement at two Cambridge Assessment International Education Principals Forums in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
The new timing will enable the release of results to align more closely with university admission deadlines, particularly in the southern hemisphere. The agreed results dates for the next three years for Cambridge International AS and A Level are as follows:
• November 2014 series – 21 January 2015
• November 2015 series – 13 January 2016
• November 2016 series – 10 January 2017
Although we are prioritising the release of Cambridge International AS and A Level results, the results dates for Cambridge IGCSE will also be brought forward. However, they will not be as early, so from the November 2015 series Cambridge IGCSE results and Cambridge International AS and A Level results will no longer be announced on the same day.
These earlier release dates will benefit many students applying to continue their education at university. The news was met with a positive reaction from the Principals who heard the announcement at the events in South Africa.
Simon Lebus said: “We greatly value our relationship with Cambridge schools in the southern hemisphere. I believe bringing forward the results of Cambridge International AS and A Levels will bring benefit to a large number of students applying to university.”
