Cambridge IGCSE is proving increasingly popular in Italy with many Italian schools joining Cambridge in order to teach subjects within their curriculum in English.
We recently took part in Cambridge IGCSE days at two Cambridge schools in Cosenza and Bari, organised by the "Rete di Scuole Cambridge" with our support. These conferences welcomed hundreds of school leaders and teachers for an introduction to what Cambridge can offer.
Schools Development Manager, Alessandra Varriale spoke at both events. She said: “It was fantastic to meet so many schools during the conferences as demand for Cambridge is growing fast. The schools already using Cambridge syllabuses provided excellent endorsements of our programmes and our support for the schools. Some of the other schools that we met at the events have already applied to join Cambridge!”
The events were covered in local news and Italian education news. Italian website Strill.it also provided a summary of the Consenza event. Popular education blogger Elisabetta Cassese interviewed Alessandra following the event, and local television network TGR also reported from the event. You can view the footage on their website, starting 15 minutes and 30 seconds in to the video.
Cambridge is planning further Cambridge IGCSE days in Italy later in 2015. If you would like to be invited to join us, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
