We are pleased to announce a new and bigger team to support the growing number of Cambridge schools in Sub-Saharan Africa. There are now over 830 schools in Sub-Saharan Africa offering Cambridge programmes and qualifications. The number of Cambridge schools in the region has risen by 25 per cent in 3 years.
Over 100 principals from schools across East and West Africa attended events in Kenya (1 December 2015) and Ghana (27 November 2015) to celebrate this announcement, meet the new Cambridge team and find out more about how Cambridge is supporting schools across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Speaking at the events, Simon Lebus, Chief Executive of our parent organisation, Cambridge Assessment, said: “Our priority at Cambridge is to support schools to deliver world-class education to their students. Having additional local support will benefit Cambridge teachers and students across Sub-Saharan Africa. I’m delighted to launch this new and bigger team.”
