November 2022 carry forward entry options

It is important that you enter your candidates for the right entry option. Use our interactive guide to help you decide which entry option is right for your candidate. Before you begin, you need to be able to answer the question below.

Should the candidate take their exams for both the Cambridge International AS Level and the A2 in the November 2022 series?

Consider the regulations and services in the information box to help you decide.

Information

The same entry options, as listed in the Cambridge Guide to Making Entries, apply regardless of whether candidates are carrying forward AS Level credit from exams, from a portfolio of evidence, or from a school-assessed grade.

We will grade candidates with June 2022 AS Level marks from portfolio of evidence using the marks they achieved in their portfolio of evidence.

We will grade candidates with a November 2021 or March 2022 AS Level school-assessed grade using our A2-only grading route.

There are no exceptions to the 13-month rule for carry-forward in the November 2022 series. Refer to The Cambridge Handbook, section 2.5.2.

Component adjustments and Covid-19 exemptions are available for the November 2022 series.

Now you know if the candidate should take both their Cambridge International AS Level components and their A2 Level components in November 2022, you can use our interactive guide to help you decide which is the right entry option for your candidate.

Further information about how candidates can carry forward AS Level portfolio of evidence marks from June 2022 to complete their A Levels in the November 2022 series is on the Carrying forward AS Level portfolio of evidence marks into the November 2022 series page
