Michelle Child joined Cambridge International in May 2011 as Head of Operations, later Deputy Directors Operations.
Michelle is responsible for the operational delivery of qualifications and assessments for our customers across the world, and for the implementation of new business processes. She also deputises for the Director, Operations.
Before joining Cambridge Assessment Michelle served for 20 years as an Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force, supporting aircraft from the historic aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, to the Sentinel R Mk 1. Her career also included two tours as an Engineering Specialist Lecturer at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell teaching Engineering Officers from across NATO and its allies.
Michelle holds an MSc in Optoelectronics and Laser Devices from the University of St Andrews and a BSc in Physics and Applied Physics with Electronics from the University of Nottingham. She is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of both the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
