Andrew Coombe was appointed Director, International Network in December 2019. He is responsible for developing our relationships with Cambridge schools worldwide, ensuring Cambridge schools are listened to and have the support they need. He manages the organisation’s nine regional teams, customer support, business development, marketing and communications.
Andrew has a strong background in international business development, marketing and customer service operations. He has over 25 years’ experience of leading strategy, sales and marketing teams principally in the global markets of automotive manufacturers and in education.
Before joining Cambridge International as Deputy Director, Marketing, Communications and Customers in July 2017, Andrew worked for Cambridge Assessment English. He started his career in corporate finance at UBS, and has previously held roles at Volkswagen and Ford – including Regional Director for North and Central America for Volkswagen and Marketing Director for Ford in Switzerland.
Andrew has an MA in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, an MA from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. As well as the UK, Andrew has lived and worked in France, Switzerland and Germany. He speaks French, German and Spanish.
