Even in high achieving classrooms, students face a wide range of barriers to their learning. Highly effective teachers have a good understanding of these barriers and are able to shape their teaching in a way that helps all students achieve their full potential.
The best teachers use a variety of techniques to develop their student's learning. This two-day workshop for teachers will help to explore two powerful techniques in depth: enabling effective classroom talk and the development of metacognitive approaches.

The most effective teachers and leaders are reflective: They regularly ask themselves the question 'is what I am doing making a difference to my learners?' This can often be a challenging question to answer. In this two-day workshop we will examine how we can use our reflection on impact to improve our teaching and our students' learning.

In this two-day workshop, you will explore how you can embed Active Learning and Assessment for Learning into your classroom practice. We will usually ask you to work both in your own specialist area (or group of subjects) and with teachers from other subjects or disciplines.
Engage with our syllabuses and curriculum frameworks in greater depth and build confidence in their delivery.
Many students in Cambridge International schools are learning through the medium of English even though it is not their first/preferred language. This can pose challenges for their teachers. This workshop will help teachers understand the issues their students face when learning through an additional language. It will provide practical advice for developing learning and achievement.
