The role of the setter is to write the assessment material (usually comprising a question paper and mark scheme).
The setter and the principal examiner for a paper will usually be the same person.

Setters may have to attend meetings. Therefore most of our setters are based in the UK.
Individual roles and responsibilities may vary according to the requirements of the qualification. The product manager responsible for a specific syllabus may revise the role specifications. These role descriptions simply give a general overview of the work normally undertaken by examining personnel.
You need to create a profile and register for job alerts to become an examiner with Cambridge. This will advise you when we are recruiting for examiners with your area(s) of expertise. Please note that the application will not work using Internet Explorer.
